caton_browneSalford Red Devils have confirmed the signing of Mason Caton-Brown from London Broncos with immediate effect on a two and a half year deal.

The 21 year old Enfield-born three quarter has represented England Students as a 17-year-old and has been one of the Broncos most exciting players this season.

Red Devils’ Head Coach Iestyn Harris said: “We are delighted to sign Mason today. His signature shows our commitment to signing the best young British prospects in the game and putting them alongside players of international stature such as Rangi Chase and Kevin Locke.

“We continue to build our squad for 2015 and beyond and we are looking forward to Mason being an important part of that.

Mason has scored 11 tries so far this season and leads the Broncos try-scoring charts. He is also their second top metre maker with 1541m in 11 appearances.

Joey Grima Head Coach of the Broncos added “Mason will be a great loss to the Club, he is our leading try scorer and ideally we would have like to have seen all his potential fulfilled playing for the Broncos. We don’t feel that we could stand in his way in securing his future in Super League”

Mason said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Broncos. I have made some great friends at the Club and will miss the team and fans.

“I am however really looking forward to this next chapter in my career and am excited to be joining Salford and being part of their ambitions going forward”
